If you start feeling ill, look past the blood. If you start losing your memories, don't bother. That's just how it is in this place.

Beginnings
サイト-17の創作における第一の信条は、財団が本質的には悪であるということだ。彼等は階級制・官僚制を重んじる機関であり、強権的に無知を押し付け、明らかに世界全土に敵対している。彼等は大いなる倫理的善を信奉してこそいるが、それがどんな善かは誰にもわからない。
The first tenet of Site-17's fiction is that the Foundation is, at its core, evil. It is a hierarchical, bureaucratic institution which seeks to enforce ignorance as law and is plainly hostile to the world at large. It worships the greater ethical good but has no method of defining what that good is.

The second tenet is that Site-17's fiction runs on a vibe. Highly atmospheric and emotionally-driven, Deepwell presents a world defined by wrongness; institutions tasked with the safeguarding of humanity have taken on a certain malignancy. Control, prided by the Foundation as a central dogma, seems more and more ever day like a facade to hide the unknown forces to which the men in charge have given themselves, and the world.
